  丙二醛四甲基乙缩醛与对位取代的苯酚衍生物和对硫代甲酚的缩合反应已在三氟乙酸中进行，得到了相应的亚甲基-二苯并[1,3]-二恶英和二硫代辛酸酯类化合物。在2,7-二羟基萘与丙二醛四甲基乙缩醛8,16-甲醇-16H-二萘并[2,1-d：1'，2'-g]-[1,3]二恶英-2,14缩合的情况下高收率地获得了β-二醇。

  Condensation reactions of malonaldehyde tetramethyl acetal with p-substituted phenol derivatives and p-thiocresol have been carried out in trifluoroacetic acid and the corresponding methano-dibenzo[1,3]-dioxocins and dithiocin type compounds were obtained in good to excellent yields.
