A series of hafnium complexes were structurally identified showing high activity (up to 500 h−1) in the selective alternated copolymerization of epoxides with CO2 under low pressure.

Bimetallic alkoxides of aluminium-hafnium and aluminium-zirconium. X-ray structure of Al2Hf(OPri)10
abstraction producing the AlM(OR)6+ ions. According to the X-ray powder diffraction data crystals of I and II are isostructural. The influence of the oligomeric Zr and Hf oxoalkoxides, formed as a result of partial thermolysis of M(OR)4·ROH, on the processes of formation of complexes with Al(OR)3 has been elucidated. The non-crystalline solid Al2Hf(OEt)10 was isolated from ethanol solution, its mass-spectral
