We report the genuine-organic magnetic conductor including organic free radical as a part of a counter anion, α-(BEDT-TTF)3(TEMPO–NHCOCH2SO3)2·6H2O, which consists of the conducting layers of the BEDT-TTF cations arranged in the α-packing mode and the magnetic layers of the TEMPO–NHCOCH2SO3 anions with water molecules alternatively along the c axis. In the magnetic layer, TEMPO groups gather to form a 1-D ferromagnetic network. The salt is semiconductive (ρRT = 5.1 Ω·cm and Ea = 0.050 eV) and its temperature-dependent susceptibility obeys the 1-D ferromagnetic Heisenberg model (C = 0.380 emu/mol K and J = +0.42 K).
