photoactive liquid crystalline siloxane polymers containing azo moieties were synthesized using click chemistry methodology. The polymers were soluble in most of the polar solvents like chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulphoxide and dichloromethane.
