Gold‐catalyzed oxidative cross‐coupling reactions of two distinct arenes with one gold carbene furnish triarylmethane products. Notably, competitive homo‐coupling reactions are efficiently suppressed with a phosphoric acid as co‐catalyst (10 mol%) in THF.
