    Multimeric protected fluorescent reagents and their methods of synthesis are provided. The reagents are useful in various fluorescence-based analytical methods, including the analysis of highly multiplexed optical reactions in large numbers at high densities, such as single molecule real time nucleic acid sequencing reactions. The reagents contain fluorescent dye elements, that allow the compounds to be detected with high sensitivity at desirable wavelengths, binding elements, that allow the compounds to be recognized specifically by target biomolecules, and protective shield elements, that decrease undesirable contacts between the fluorescent dye elements and the bound target biomolecules and that therefore decrease photodamage of the bound target biomolecules by the fluorescent dye elements. The reagents also contain coupling elements connect monomeric compounds into multimeric forms, thereby increasing brightness.

    Pre-expanded noncrosslinked polypropylene-based resin particles are provided, which comprise a noncrosslinked polypropylene-based resin composition that contains 1 wt% to 30 wt% of an ion-conducting polymer-type anti-static agent that is made of an amphiphilic block copolymer and contains an alkali metal salt of a fluoroalkylsulfonic acid; a method for producing an in-mold expansion-molded article of a noncrosslinked polypropylene-based resin is provided, which comprises the step of filling the foregoing pre-expanded particles into a mold capable of being closed but incapable of being hermetically sealed, and heating the same with water vapor so that the particles are molded; and an in-mold expansion-molded article is provided, which is obtained by the foregoing producing method. Pre-expanded noncrosslinked polypropylene-based resin particles that allow for the production of in-mold expansion molded articles that exhibit an excellent anti-static property and are less contaminating, and an in-mold expansion-molded article obtained from the foregoing pre-expanded particles can be provided.

    Polyolefin-based resin pre-expanded particles include a polyolefin-based resin composition including a polyolefin-based resin, a sterically hindered amine ether flame retardant expressed by the general formula (1): R1NHCH2CH2CH2NR2CH2CH2NR3CH2CH2CH2NHR4 (1), and a phosphoric ester. The polyolefin-based resin pre-expanded particles are flame retardant polyolefin-based resin pre-expanded particles that can have good in-mold expansion moldability and exhibit excellent flame resistance compared to the conventional pre-expanded particles even when molded into a sample having a higher density or a larger thickness without using a halogen flame retardant, and that do not generate harmful gas during burning.

    Provided are pre-expanded polypropylene resin particles having a dimensional expansion coefficient of 1.5% or more determined with a thermomechanical analyzer at a constant compressive load of 1 mg during heating from 30°C to 100°C at a temperature increase rate of 10°C/min. Using the pre-expanded polypropylene resin particles can yield an in-mold foam molded product of polypropylene resin having few wrinkles and small dimensional shrinkage without pretreatment such as internal pressure application or compression packing during packing the pre-expanded particles in a mold for in-mold foam molding.

    In order to obtain a flame-retardant polyolefin resin expanding molded product which has excellent in-mold moldability and excellent surface appearance and satisfies the FMVSS flammability even if carbon black is added, polyolefin resin particles containing, with respect to 100 parts by weight of polyolefin resin, (i) 0.03 part by weight to 5 parts by weight of phosphorous flame retardant having a phosphorous content of 7% by weight or more, a melting point of 120°C or more, and a 5% by weight decomposition temperature within a range of 240°C to 320°C and (ii) 0.5 part by weight to 20 parts by weight of carbon black are expanded.
