reaction from deoxyguanosine and used for preparation of the buildingblocks of deoxyguanosine required for the polymer support synthesis. Two kinds of polymer supports, i.e., 1% cross-linked polystyrene and controlled pore glass were chosen. The latter was employed for the synthesis of dodecadeoxyribonucleotides by using an automatedDNA synthesizer.

A simple method for the preparation of fully protected 2′-deoxynucleoside-3′-phosphates is described. The deoxyribonucleoside-3′-aryl-β-cyanoethyl-phosphates, very used in the synthesis of oligodeoxynucleotides, were synthesized in high yields in a single step from the nucleoside derivatives with a monofunctional phosphorylating agent : cyclohexylammonium p-chlorophenyl-β-cyanoethyl-phosphate.
