A comprehensive study of the reactivity of Lewis bases with dihalodiboranes(4) is presented. Diaryldihalodiboranes provide rearranged monoadducts when treated with cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes, but halide‐bridged adducts when treated with a range of pyridyl bases.
