Cobalt carbonyl complexes of mono-, di- and tri-ethynylsilanes containing silicon-hydrogen bonds are obtained by selective-coordination of the triple bond in ethynylhydrogenosilanes. The silicon-hydrogen bond of the coordinated ethynylsilanes reacts spontaneously with methanol, water, benzaldehyde, and phenylacetylene.
