Tunable cis/trans prolyl amide bond configuration in substituted beta-proline (beta-Pro) and beta-homoproline (beta-Hpro) homodimers was explored, based on position and nature of the substituent. Tertiary amide bond in beta-proline (beta(23)-substituted) dimers show distinct trans configuration and beta-homoproline (beta(3)-substituted) dimers preferably exhibited cis configuration.
