  (EN) A class of organosilanes of general formula wherein (1) Ar is a divalent aromatic radical; Rf is a defined fluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkyl ether group; X is methyl, RfAr as defined above, a halogen other than fluorine, or an alkoxy group; and each one of Y and Z is a halogen other than fluorine or an alkoxy group. These organosilanes are very useful as precursors to polysiloxane coupling agents for bonding fluoropolymers to glass fibers which can withstand the usual fluoropolymer melt-processing temperatures without decomposition.(FR) Catégorie d'organosilanes représentée par la formule générale (I)dans laquelle Ar représente un radical aromatique bivalent; Rf représente un groupe défini d'éther de fluoroalkyle ou de perfluoroalkyle; X représente méthyle, RfAr comme défini ci-dessus, un halogène autre que du fluor ou un groupe alcoxy; et Y et Z représentent chacun un halogène autre que du fluor ou un groupe alcoxy. Ces organosilanes sont très efficaces en tant que précurseurs d'agents de couplage de polysiloxane servant à lier des polymères fluorés à des fibres de verre et pouvant résister aux températures habituelles de traitement en fusion des polymères fluorés sans décomposition.
