  Thiolates generated from elemental sulfur with amines or lithium amides, easily reacted with carbon monoxide to form thiocarbamates in good yields. Furthermore, the reaction of diaminodisulfide with carbon monoxide in the presence of DBU proceeded similarly to give thiocarbamates.
