  Monosilylated aminophenylethylamine derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which X and Y each independently is hydrogen or halogen, R.sub.1 is the radical ##STR2## R.sub.2 is hydrogen or an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having up to 10 C atoms, R.sub.3 is hydrogen, an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical which can optionally be substituted by halogen, a phenyl radical which can optionally be substituted by halogen, hydroxyl, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, alkylthio, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylthio, cyano or trifluoromethyl, or a heterocyclic radical, or, together with R.sub.2 is a nitrogen-containing saturated heterocyclic radical, and R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each independently is an alkyl radical, or physiologically tolerated salts thereof, promote the growth of animals.
