The symmetrical complex (C3F7)2 Fe(CO)4 is formed as a result of treating Hg[N(CF3)2]2 with C3F7Fe(CO)4I and also by pyrolysis of C3F7Fe(CO)4OCOCF3 obtained by means of iodine atom exchange with Hg(OCOCF3)2 in carbonyliodide. By the interaction of C3F7Fe(CO)4I with HgF2, Hg2F2 and PhHgF, the symmetrical complex is formed
