Tin element compounds R3SnE (R = Me or Ph; E = Net2, OMe or OSnMe3) react with R2N−P = NR (R = SiMe3) (1) by 1,1-addition at phosphorus yielding the P-stannylated iminophosphoranes R3Sn(E)P(NR)NR2 (2–6). In the 1,1-addition reaction of the cyclodistannazane (1Bu2SnNMe)2 with 1 the five-membered stanna heterocycle (7) is formed by ring expansion.
