1, 5-Bis (trimethylsilyl)penta-1, 4-diyne was synthesized from trimethylsilylacetylide and 1-trimethylsilyl-3-bromo-1-propyne, and used in a reaction with “Cp2Zr”, giving as the major product 4, 6, 10, 12-tetrakis (trimethylsilyl)-5, 5, 11, 11-tetrakis (, 11-dizirconatricyclo[7, 3, 0, 03]dodeca-1(12), 3, 6, 9-tetraene, which was characterized by H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction studies
