The ternary tin(II) halides SnXF (X = Cl, Br, I), SnlX (X = Cl, Br), Sn2XF3(X = Cl, I), Sn2BrCl3, and Sn3BrF5 and the ditin(II) isothiocyanate trihalides, Sn2NCSX3(X = F, Cl, Br, I) have been prepared and identified by their X-ray and 119Sn Mössbauer data.
