  摘要：

  Stereoselective synthesis of a novel regiomer of the natural nonenolide, herbarumin I has been accomplished. The synthesis involves the coupling of the alcohol and acid fragments of the molecule using Yamaguchi protocol followed by intramolecular ring closing metathesis.
