4-Substituted thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines were designed, synthesized and evaluated for antibacterial activity. Docking studies suggest the bacterial dihydropteroate synthase inhibitory activity of potent compounds. Hence, its binding affinity with DHPS enzyme was also determined.
