Beryllium(II) complexes with (R2N)2P(O)F (R=Me or Et): Synthesis and characterisation by multinuclear (31P, 19F and 9Be) NMR in solution
摘要:
Two beryllium complexes Be[(R2N)(2)P(O)F](ClO4)(2) (R = Me (1) and R = Et (2)) were synthesised and characterised by multinuclear (P-31, F-19 and Be-9) NMR, IR and elemental analyses. Solution Be-9 NMR spectra of the two complexes show sharp quintuplets due to Coupling with four equivalent phosphorus atoms, indicative of highly symmetric environment for the beryllium centre and consistent with a tetrahedral geometry in solution. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations, carried Out at the B3LYP level, have been used to Support the interpretations of NMR data for the two complexes prepared. A comparison of the results obtained for the bound and free ligands is discussed. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Direct conversion of phosphorus(V) chlorides to the corresponding phosphorus(V) fluorides was achieved using a solid reagent, tetrabutylammoniumtetra (tert-butylalcohol) coordinated fluoride. The phosphorus(V) fluorides were directly synthesized and efficiently isolated in very good yields.

alpha,alpha-Difluoroazides react with triphenylantimony and various compounds of trivalent phosphorus according to the oxidative fluorination scheme. In the case of trivalent phosphorus compound the primary products are phosphazenes, phosphazides or difluorophosphoranes that may undergo further transformations to the corresponding fluorine derivatives of pentavalent phosphorus.
