Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Dinitratotetra(hexamethylphosphoric Triamide)-Lanthanum(III)Tetra(Isothiocyanato)Diammine Chromate(III)

A new coordination compound having the formula [La(HMPA)(4)(NO3)(2)][Cr(NH3)(2)(NCS)(4)] (I), where HMPA is ((CH3)(2)N)(3)PO, has been synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction. Studied crystals of compound I are monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 15.0360(3) , b = 15.1214(3) , c = 26.7529(7) , beta = 100.6610(10)A degrees, V = 5977.7(9) 3, Z = 2, rho(calc) = 1.442 g/cm(3), and R (1) = 0.0453 for 7344 reflections with F (o) ae 4 sigma(F (o)).

Three new charge-transfer salts of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF)-based donors with thiocyanato- or selenocyanato-metal complex anions have been synthesised. The complex [(HL)Cu(SCN)Cr(NCS)3(NH3)2]·DMF [H2L=3,3′-trimethylenedinitrilobis(2-butanoneoxime), DMF=N,N′-dimethylformamide] has been synthesized and the structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
