Pentasodium dibismuth arsenate bis(diarsenate) has been synthesized by solid-state reaction and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure is a three-dimensional framework comprising distorted BiO6 octahedra, As2O7 groups and AsO4 tetrahadra sharing corners. Along the c axis, the structure exhibits large tunnels where Na+ cations are located.
