Fluorosilanes react with lithiated amines to yield aminofluorosilanes. Iso- and sec-butylaminofluorosilanes with bulky ligands form the isomers (I–VII). The cyclisation of monoorganofluorosilanes depends on the size of the substituents. IV and V dimerise by HF-elimination (VIII, IX) and VII cyclises by migration of a methanide ion (X).
