Pressure effect on the Néel temperature and exchage striction of the ordered alloy Au5Mn2

The pressure effect on the Neel temperature T(N), the thermal expansion and the specific heat are studied for the ordered alloy Au5Mn2. T(N) decreases linearly with pressure. dT(N)/dp is obtained to be 0.31 K/kbar. The jumps in the volume thermal expansion coefficient alpha and the specific heat C(p) at T(N) are determined to the DELTA-alpha(v) = 0.5 x 10(-5) K-1 and DELTA-C(p) = 8.2 cal/mol K, respectively. The atomic distance dependence of T(N) is discussed.
