A process for the production of stabilised filled polyolefins in non-extruded particle or power form said process comprising the steps of: (a) polymerising an olefin monomer or monomers to obtain an olefin polymer or co-polymer in non-extruded particle or powder form; (b) depositing a liquid stabiliser mixture of a phosphate or phosphonite stabiliser, a phenolic antioxidant and optionally an acid scavenger onto the surface of the polyolefin particles or powder in a first mixer; (c) compounding in a second mixer 1 to 30 % by weight of a polymer filler (based on the weight of the polyolefin) with the moist stabiliser coated polyolefin particles or powder obtained from step (b); the steps (b) and (c) being conducted at a temperature between 50 °C and 120 °C with neither of the first or second mixers being an extruder. The prelerred polyolefin is polypropylene.The preferred liquid phosphite stabiliser is Tris(4-n-nonylphenyl) phosphite (Alkanox TNPP). The preferred liquid phenolic antioxidant is a mixture of C13 to C15 linear and branched alkyl esters of 3-(3',5'-di-t-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid (Anox 1315). The preferred liquid acid scavenger is zinc 2-ethyl hexanoate. The preferred polymer filler is calcium carbonate.
