in hexane hexamethyldisilazane-trichloroaluminum [(H3C)3Si]2NH • AlCl3 is formed. The adduct has been characterized by MS, IR, Raman, 1H, 13C, 27Al, 29Si NMR spectroscopy, and by a crystal structure determination (1425 independent reflections, R = 0.035).
