  The dianion [Ru10C(CO)24]2- in CH2Cl2 reacts with CO under ambient conditions to produce quantitative amounts of the species [Ru3(CO)12] and [Ru6C(CO)16]2-; the hydrido-anion [HRu10C(CO)24]- reacts similarly to form [Ru3(CO)12] and [HRu6C(CO)16]-.
