  Crystals of (I). Cs2trans-[VCl2(H2O)4]Cl3, are monoclinic, space group C2/m, with a= 17.745(8), b= 6.183(5), c= 7.019(5)Å, β= 106.4(5)°, and Z= 2. The structure was determined by Patterson and Fourier methods from visually estimated reflections and refined by full-matrix least squares to R 0.106. The hydrogen atoms were not located. Bond lengths within the complex cation are: V–Cl 2.361(2) and V–O
