哒嗪类化合物是指含氮的六元杂环吖嗪类化合物,与嘧啶和吡嗪互为异构体,不溶于石油醚,易溶于甲醇、乙醇和乙醚,并能与水、苯及二甲基甲酰胺混溶。作为一种弱碱,哒嗪能够与苦味酸、盐酸等形成盐类;它不易发生芳香族的亲核或亲电取代反应,对高锰酸钾也非常稳定;通过用钠或醇还原开链,可以转变为1,4-二氨基丁烷。
哒嗪在医药领域广泛应用,作为多种药物的重要原料。例如,长效磺胺SMP、抗疟药4-氨基喹啉和降血压药肼苯哒嗪等均是以哒嗪为原料制备的。此外,哒嗪也用于农药制造,可合成除草剂如“杀草敏”、“乙氨哒酮”、“溴杀草敏”、“哒草醚”、“抑芽丹”、“哒草灭”和“达草止”,以及杀虫剂“打杀磷”。
