Dialkyl hydrogen phosphates, RO(R′O)PO2H, are produced frommonoalkyl hydrogen phosphonates, RO(HO)PHO, by oxidation either with bromine in pyridine or with carbon tetrachloride and triethylamine with stoicheiometric quantities of an alcohol.
