Ces compositions présentent des caractéristiques électro-optiques étonnamment améliorées ainsi qu'un contraste ne dépendant que très peu de l'angle de vision, à des tensions de seuil acceptables, par des circuits de commande disponibles commercialement et des rapports de multiplexage allant jusqu'à 1:100, pour une utilisation dans des affichages matriciels.
