    Disclosed are a propylene polymer having a high crystallinity of a boiled heptane-insoluble component contained therein, a high stereoregularity and an extremely long mesochain (continuous propylene units wherein directions of &agr;-methyl carbons are the same as each other), and a process for preparing said polymer. Also disclosed are a propylene block copolymer containing a crystalline polypropylene portion having a high crystallinity of a boiled heptane-insoluble component contained therein, a high stereoregularity and an extremely long mesochain, and a process for preparing said copolymer. Further disclosed is a propylene polymer composition comprising the above propylene polymer or propylene block copolymer and at least one stabilizer selected from a phenol type stabilizer, an organophosphite type stabilizer, a thioether type stabilizer, a hindered amine type stabilizer and a metallic salt of higher aliphatic acid. The propylene polymer of the invention is excellent in rigidity, heat resistance and moisture resistance, and can be favorably used for sheet, film, filament, injection molded product, blow molded product, etc. The propylene block polymer of the invention is well-balanced between rigidity, heat resistance and moisture resistance, and can be favorably used for sheet, filament, injection molded product, blow molded product, etc. The propylene polymer composition of the invention has excellent properties of the propylene polymer or the propylene block copolymer, and moreover is excellent in heat stability during the molding stage, long-term heat stability and weathering resistance. The propylene polymer composition can be favorably used for sheet, film, filament, injection molded product, blow molded product, etc.

    The present invention provides a propylene/1-butene random copolymer (PBR) having excellent flexibility, impact resistance, heat resistance and low-temperature heat-seal properties, a polypropylene composition containg the copolymer, a sheet, film or stretched film comprising the composition and a composite film having a layer of the composition. The propylene/1-butene random copolymer contains 60 to 90 mol % of propylene units and 10 to 40 mol % of 1-butene units and has a triad isotacticity of not less than 85% and not more than 97.5%, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 1 to 3, an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.1 to 12 dl/g, a melting point (Tm) of from 40 to 120° C., and satisfies the following relation 146 exp(−0.022M)≧ Tm ≧125 exp(−0.032M) wherein Tm represents a melting point and M (mol %) represents a content of 1-butene constituent units. The invention, further, provides a transition metal compound useful as an olefin polymerization catalyst and an olefin polymerization catalyst containing the transition metal compound. The transition metal compound is represented by the following formula (2a): wherein each of R 1 and R 3 is hydrogen, R 2 and R 4 are selected from a hydrocarbon group and silicon-containing group, R 5 to R 13 are selected from hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group and silicon-containing group, and adjacent substituent groups R 5 to R 12 may be linked to form a ring. R 14 is an aryl group, and R 13 and R 14 may be linked to form a ring. M is a Group 4 transition metal, Y is a carbon atom, Q is halogen, etc, and j is an integer of 1 to 4.

    A plastic molded product of olefin (co)polymer composition comprises 0.01 - 5.0 weight parts high molecular weight polyethylene with an intrinsic viscosity ηE in the range of 15 - 100dl/g measured in 135°C tetralin and preferably 100 weight parts polypropylene. The high molecular weight polyethylene has an average particle size in the range of 1 - 5000nm and is finely dispersed as fine granules in the polypropylene, so that high melt strength and high crystallization temperature are attained, enabling various molding methods to be performed with high speed productivity. Using the polymer composition, plastics such as a resin foam, a film, a sheet, a layered plastic article with a coated substrate surface, a hollow plastic article, an injection molded plastic article, a fiber, a nonwoven web or a continuous tube-shaped plastic are provided. The olefin (co)polymer composition is obtained by preparing high molecular weight polyethylene granules using e.g. a titanium transition metal compound catalyst, and adding these, e.g. as a polymerization catalyst of propylene, singly or together with a polyolefin preparing catalyst.

    The present invention provides a propylene/1-butene random copolymer (PBR) having excellent flexibility, impact resistance, heat resistance and low-temperature heat-seal properties, a polypropylene composition containg the copolymer, a sheet, film or stretched film comprising the composition and a composite film having a layer of the composition.
