Dinuclear ansa zirconocene complexes containing a half-sandwich and a sandwich moiety and their ligand precursors have been synthesized and characterized. After activation with methylalumoxane (MAO), these catalysts produce polyethylenes with bimodal molecular weight distributions in homogeneous and heterogeneous media.
