    The syntheses of various aliphatic, aromatic, sterically hindered, and cyclic organophosphorus compounds (phosphorous acid esters, ester chlorides and ester amides, hydrogen phosphites, phosphonates and phosphates) are reported, and general procedures for preparation are given.The compounds synthesized were investigated by means of P-31-, H-1- and C-13-n.m.r. spectroscopy, and the chemical shifts measured are listed.

    The polyacetal resin composition contains about 0.01-10 parts by weight of a glyoxyldiureide compound per 100 parts by weight of polyacetal resin. The glyoxyldiureide compound includes glyoxyldiureide and its derivatives (metal salts etc.). Optionally, about 0.01-10 parts by weight of a basic nitrogen-containing compound is further added. The basic nitrogen-containing compound includes melamine, melamine resin, and polyamide resin. Further, an antioxidant may be further added. The above composition contributes to stability, particularly heat stability, of polyacetal resin and suppression of emission of formaldehyde.

    The present invention relates to a polyarylene sulfide resin composition, which comprises polyarylene sulfide (A) and polyamide (B) as essential components, and further includes an organic phosphorus compound (C), which is selected from the group consisting of an aromatic phosfite compound and an aromatic phosphonaite compound, and an inorganic phosphorus compound (D), which is selected from the group consisting from a metal salt of phosphorous acid and a metal salt of hypophosphoric acid as essential components, in addition to the polyarylene sulfide (A) and the polyamide (B); a manufacturing method thereof; and a surface mount electronic component. The polyarylene sulfide resin composition has excellent heat resistance, does not decrease mechanical properties such as bending strength even if heating treatment is performed under the high temperature condition by passing through a reflow furnace, and has excellent flame retardance.

    An ultraviolet absorbing composition for a skin and hair, which has absorption of high absorbance in both UV-A region and UV-B region, wherein an ultraviolet absorbing compounds in the ultraviolet absorbing composition, will not precipitate or turn to yellow in the process of preparing cosmetics. Moreover, the ultraviolet absorbing composition shows excellent feeling in use, and will not dye clothes easily, and may be applied to the skin and hair of a living object, and exhibits excellent capability of absorbing an ultraviolet light. The ultraviolet absorbing composition for skin and hair, comprises the ultraviolet absorbing compound represented by formula (1) and at least one ultraviolet absorbing compound selected from the group consisting of formulae (I) to (V). In formula (1), Y11 and Y12 each independently represents a monovalent substituent. One of Y11 or Y12 is cyano group, and the other is cyano group or an optionally substituted alkylcarbonyl group, arylcarbonyl group, heterocyclic carbonyl group, alkylsulfonyl group, arylsulfonyl group, carbamoyl group, sulfamoyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group, or aryloxycarbonyl group. V11 and V12 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent. The compound of formula (1) is a benzodithiol. The compounds of formulae (I) to (V) are benzophenones, a triazine, a benzotriazole and a dibenzoylmethane derivative.

    The present invention provides ethylene polymers capable of preparing various molded articles such as films, sheets or the like, and having excellent moldability, particularly excellent high-speed moldability. The ethylene polymers of the present invention have a density and molecular weight distribution in specific ranges. The first ethylene polymer is characterized by having (C) a ratio (MFR 10 /MFR 2 ) of a melt flow rate (MFR 10 ) at 190° C. under a load of 10 Kg to a melt flow rate (MFR 2 ) at 190° C. under a load of 2.16 Kg of from 16.2 to 50. The second ethylene polymer is characterized by having (C) a ratio (MFR 10 /MFR 2 ) from 12 to 50. The third ethylene polymer is characterized by having (D) a relation of &ohgr;2/&ohgr;1≧18 where &ohgr;1 and &ohgr;2 denote angular velocity (rad/sec) when complex elastic modulus G* (dyne/cm 2 ) at 200° C. is 5.0×10 5 dyne/cm 2 and 2.0×10 6 dyne/cm 2 , respectively, which are determined by measurement of the angular velocity dependence of the complex elastic modulus of the copolymer.
