    1. A flame-retardant resin composition comprising (A) (1) a resin component (Component A-1) containing 50 to 100 % by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin and 0 to 50 % by weight of a styrene-containing resin or (2) a resin component (Component A-2) containing 20 to 80 % by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin and 80 to 20 % by weight of a polystyrene, provided that Component A-1 or Component A-2 will be referred to as Component A, and (B) a flame retardant (Component B) that is a phosphoric ester of the following formula (I), the phosphoric ester containing, per 100 % by weight thereof, 3 % by weight or less of a component having a condensation degree n of 0, 86.5 to 98.5 % by weight of a component having a condensation degree n of 1, 1 to 9 % by weight of a component having a condensation degree n of 2 and 1.5 % by weight or less of a component having a condensation degree n of ≧ 3, and having a weight average condensation degree N in the range of 1.01 to 1.10 when the weight average condensation degree N is calculated without the component having a condensation degree n of 0,    the flame-retardant resin composition containing, per 100 % by weight of the total of Component A and Component B, 65 to 99 % by weight of Component A and 1 to 35 % by weight of Component B, The resin composition of the present invention has excellent flame retardancy, especially, excellent retardancy in the form of a molded product having a small wall thickness, and has good impact resistance, and further, it is suitable for forming a large-sized molded product having a small wall thickness which requires rigidity and surface properties.

    The invention relates to: a process for producing a poly(phenylene ether) resin composition which comprises (A) a poly(phenylene ether) and (B) a styrene resin and in which the styrene resin (B) is a styrene resin comprising a rubber-modified polystyrene containing a polybutadiene having 90% or higher cis-1,4 bonds, the process comprising a first step in which the poly(phenylene ether) (A) is melt-kneaded together with (B1) part or all of the styrene resin which does not include any rubber-modified polystyrene containing an unhydrogenated polybutadiene and a subsequent second step in which the remaining styrene resin including (B2) a rubber-modified polystyrene containing a polybutadiene having 90% or higher cis-1,4 bonds is melt-kneaded; and a poly(phenylene ether) resin composition obtained by the process. According to the invention, a modified PPE can be stably supplied which is free from various appearance failures such as black foreign particles, unmelted matter, and color unevenness and is excellent in practical properties such as stability to high-temperature residence, heat exposure resistance, and low-temperature impact resistance, in particular, heat deterioration resistance.

The present invention also provides a prepreg and en epoxy resin composition suited to obtain the above described fiber-reinforced composite material. The present invention also provides an integrated molding which is produced using the above described fiber-reinforced composite material, thereby suitable for use in electric/electronic casings.     The present invention provides: a flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester resin composition which provides a molded article having excellent tracking resistance and excellent mechanical characteristics, while maintaining high flame retardancy; and a molded article which is obtained by molding the flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester resin composition. A flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester resin composition of the present invention contains 1-70 parts by weight of two or more (C) phosphorus-containing flame retardants that are selected from the group consisting of (C-1) condensed phosphoric acid esters, (C-2) phosphazene compounds and (C-3) organic metal phosphinates and 1-90 parts by weight of (D) a nitrogen-containing flame retardant per 100 parts by weight of the total of 50-95 parts by weight of (A) a thermoplastic polyester resin and 5-50 parts by weight of (B) a methacrylic resin.
