A minor metabolite ... and a major metabolite ... were isolated as glucosides. Identification of the aglycones was made after hydrolysis of the glucosidic moiety with beta-glucosidase. Another minor metabolite was identified as thiocyanate. Other observed metabolites were not identified. The hydroxymethyl and its glucoside were also observed in other studies with cotton.
