A convenient, efficient and green procedure for the synthesis of S-aryl dithiocarbamates has been developed by a simple one-pot condensation of aryl diazonium fluoroborate, carbon disulfide and amine in the absence of any transition metal catalyst in water at room temperature. The reactions of a variety of substituted aryl diazonium fluoroborates, and cyclic and open chain amines, have been addressed. The products are purified by crystallization from ethanol and the process does not involve any hazardous solvent.
Synthesis of functionalized <i>S</i>-benzyl dithiocarbamates from diazo-compounds <i>via</i> multi-component reactions with carbon disulfide and secondary amines
Triflic acid promoted multi-component synthesis of functionalized S-benzyl dithiocarbamates from diazo compounds, carbondisulfide and secondary amines is reported. The reactions proceeded at room temperature and gave the desired dithiocarbamates in good yields. Wide-substrate scope and easy operation are the important features of this methodology.

A convenient, efficient, and general procedure for the synthesis of diaryl chalcogenides including sulfides, selenides and tellurides has been developed by the reaction of diazonium tetrafluoroborates and diaryl dichalcogenides on the surface of alumina under ball-milling without any solvent or metal. A wide range of functionalized diaryl chalcogenides are obtained in high purity by this procedure.

In this work, the acid cleavage at 25 degrees C in 20% v/v aqueous ethanol of a series of analogues of piperidine dithiocarbamate X(C2H4)2NCS2(-) (X = CH2, CHCH3, NH, NCH3, S, O) was studied.
