    The present invention relates to novel phenyl oxazolidinone compounds of formula I, their pharmaceutically acceptable analogs, tautomeric forms, stereoisomers, polymorphs, prodrugs, metabolites, salts or solvates thereof. The invention also relates to the processes for the synthesis of novel compounds of formula I or their pharmaceutically acceptable analogs, tautomeric forms, stereoisomers, polymorphs, prodrugs, metabolites, salts or solvates thereof. The present invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising novel compounds of formula I and methods of using them. The compounds of the present invention are useful as antimicrobial agents, effective against a number of aerobic and/or anaerobic Gram positive and/or Gram negative pathogens such as multi drug resistant species of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Bacterioides, Clostridia, H. influenza, Moraxella, acid-fast organisms such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis as well as Linezolid resistant species of Staphylococcus and Enterococcus.

    The present invention provides a method for manufacturing plated resin molded article having strong adhesion of plating and giving beautiful appearance. Specifically, it provides a method for manufacturing plated resin molded article having the steps of: contact-treating a thermoplastic resin molded article using an acid or base free from heavy metal; treating the contact-treated thermoplastic resin molded article by a catalyst imparting liquid; forming an electrically conductive layer on the surface of the thermoplastic resin molded article using a direct plating method; and applying electroplating to the electrically conductive layer; without applying the step of etching by an acid which contains heavy metal.

    The present invention provides a resin molded article having high adhesive strength of plating and giving beautiful appearance. Specifically, the present invention provides a plated resin molded article having a metal plating layer on the surface thereof, which resin molded article is made of a resin composition including: (A) a synthetic resin; 0.1 to 20 parts by mass of (B) a water-soluble substance having the solubility in water (25°C) ranging from 0.01 g/100 g to 10 g/100 g; 0 to 20 parts by mass of (C) a compatible substance; and (D) an inorganic filler by a quantity of 1 to 55 parts by mass to 100 parts by mass of the sum of (A), (B) and (C) components, wherein the resin molded article is not treated by etching by an acid containing chromium and/or manganese.

    We have developed new phosphorylating agents, 3-phosphono-2-(N-cyanoimino)-thiazolidine derivatives (3-phosphono-NCTs), which were readily synthesized by phosphorylation of NCT, and transformed primary and secondary alcohols into phosphates in good yield. The transfer of three kinds of dialkylphosphono groups [(PhO)(2)P(O)-, (EtO)(2)P(O)-, (Cl3CCH2O)(2)P(O)-] proceeded in excellent yields.     The present invention provides a plated resin molded article having a high adhering strength of a plating layer. Specifically, it provides a plated resin molded article that has a metal plating layer on the surface of a thermoplastic resin molded article comprising a composition that contains (A) 10 to 90 mass % of a matrix resin that has a water absorption after 24 hours in 23° C. water (ISO62) of at least 0.6% and (B) 90 to 10 mass % of a non-styrenic resin that has a water absorption after 24 hours in 23° C. water (ISO62) of less than 0.6%, wherein the thermoplastic resin molded article is not subjected to etching with a heavy metal-containing acid.
