Abstract The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of the REFe 2 compounds (RE = Y, Ce, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu) in the range from 4 K up to 1000 K are presented. The outstanding feature of CeFe 2 is also demonstrated by the temperature dependence of the thermo-power. The analysis of these data reveals that the Fe 3 d moments act as localized moments.
