  The chiral ligand for transition metal ions, (S, R)-N,N-diethyl-N′-(2-(N′′,N′′-dimethyl-1-aminoethyl))ferrocenoyl thiourea, has been prepared from (S)-N,N-dimethyl-1-ferrocenylethylamine. Its chirality is confirmed by X-ray structure analysis.
