The one-electron reduction in THF/(Bu4N+ PF6−) of the complex Cp2NbCl2 (Cp = η5-C5H5) at a low temperature (−30°C) yields the anionic dimer (Cp2NbClCl2NbCp2)− which remains stable for several hours.
