  Reactions of [o-(fluorodimethylsilyl)phenyl]lithium (1) with GeCl2 and SnCl2 produce benzosilagermacyclobutene 2 and benzosiladistannacyclopentene 3, respectively, both of which have o-(fluorodimethylsilyl)phenyl groups on the germanium and tin atoms.
