After removal of F 2 (g) and UF 6 (g), but without dismantling the combustion bomb, the energy of the reaction between gaseous PF 3 (g) and the Pd(PdF 6 )(c) + Pd(c)} left in the bomb, to give Pd(c) and PF 5 (g), has been measured in the calorimeter.
