The single-photon zero kinetic energy (ZEKE) photoelectron spectra of the silver- and copper-ammonia 1:1 complexes have been observed in order to investigate the vibrational structures of their corresponding ions. Infrared matrix isolation study of ammonia complexes with the neutral transition metals Cu and Fe

One-to-one complexes of ammonia with the neutral transition metals, Cu and Fe, have been formed in solid argonmatrices at 12K and investigated spectroscopically in the infrared region. FTIR spectra reveal large shifts in the ν2 NH3 umbrella mode upon complexation with these transition metal atoms.
