  The 1-methylene-4-phenylcyclohexadiene triosmium complex [Os-3(CO)(9)(mu(3)-eta(2):eta(2):eta(2)-H2C=C(6)H(5)Ph)] has been prepared from the reaction of [Os-3(CO)(9)(mu(3)-eta(2):eta(1):eta(2)-C(6)H(5)Ph)], which contains a side-on co-ordinated carbene group, with the Wittig reagent H2C=PPh(3); the crystal and molecular structure of the product has been determined by an X-ray diffraction study.
