  Reaction of platinum(II) salts with 5-ferrocenylpyrimidine (FcPM) afforded cis-[Pt(NH3)(2)(FcPM)(2)](PF6)(2) (1), trans-[Pt(NH3)(2)(FcPM)(2)](PF6)(2) (2), cis-[PtCl2(FcPM)(2)] (3), and cis-[PtCl2(DMSO)(FcPM)] (4): their spectroscopic and electrochemical properties were investigated.
