Synthesis of Molybdenum Dicarbonyl Complexes Bearing Tethered Homoallylic Amines and Sulfides

A series of organomolybdenum complexes, 8-14, bearing a pi-allyl ligand tethered to a chelating heteroatom, have been synthesized from the reaction of allylic acetates 1-4 with the sodium salt of beta-dicarbonyl compounds 5-7 and Mo(CO)(6) in THF. X-ray structural analysis established the relative configuration at the metal center.
