  The thermal reaction of tricarbonyl-eta(5)-pentadienylmanganese 1, with mercaptans RSH leads to the corresponding tetramers [MnSR(CO)(3)](4) (R = phenyl 2, furfuryl 3, and phenethyl 4). Synthetic and spectroscopic aspects, as well as the single crystal X-ray structure of 3, are discussed.
