SYNTHESIS AND SPECTRAL STUDIES OF TRANSITION METAL COMPLEXES WITH 5,7,12,14-TETRAMETHYL-1,4,8,11-TETRAAZACYCLOTETRADECA-4,7,11,14-TETRAENE, A FOURTEEN-MEMBERED TETRADENTATE MACROCYCLIC LIGAND

Complexes of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Pd(II) and Cu(II) with a fourteen-membered macrocyclic ligand have been prepared and characterized by magnetic moment, infrared, electronic and EPR spectral studies. All of complexes were found to have six-coordinate geometry and are of the high-spin type except the Pd(II) complex which is four-coordinate, square-planar and diamagnetic.
