    The compounds [M{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}(eta-C5H5)Cl] (M = Zr*, Hf), [M{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}(eta-C5H5)Me] (M = Zr, Hf), [(eta-C5H5)MCl2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}MCl2(eta-C5H5)] (M = Zr, Hf), [(eta-C5H5)ZrCl2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(eta-C9H6)}ZrCl2(eta-C5H5)], [(eta-C5H5)MMe2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}MMe2(eta-C5H5)] (M = Zr, Hf), [(eta-C5H5)ZrCl2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}HfCl2(eta-C5H5)], [(eta-C5H5)MCl2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}Rh(eta-C8H12)] (M = Zr*, Hf), [(eta-C5H5)ZrCl2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}TiCl3], [(eta-C5H5)ZrMe2{(CH2)(4)C(eta-C5H4)(2)}HfMe2(eta-C5H5)], [(eta-C5H5)MMe2{(CH2)(4)C(zeta-C5H4)(2)}Rh(eta-C(8)H(1)2)] (M = Zr*, Hf) have been prepared and characterised. * indicates the crystal structure has been determined.
